Frequently asked questions
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your text sits only in this browser’s local storage so it survives a reload. “Clear script” deletes it.
Only if you read the text through beam-splitter glass in front of the camera. The glass reflects the text back, so it has to be output flipped. If you read straight from the screen, leave it off.
Read your script aloud once and set a speed where you neither rush nor wait for the text. Many people start around 130 to 150 words per minute. The display shows the total duration at your pace.
In browsers that support the Wake Lock feature, yes. Where it is missing, set a longer screen timeout in your device settings.
Not yet. You can operate it by tapping the text, with the buttons or with the keyboard. A phone remote is something we can add if there is demand.
No. It only shows your text. Record with your camera, webcam or recording software as usual.
